Our 1st Year Soccer team began their cup campaign with an impressive performance against Adamstown CC.
St. Mary’s CBS started the strongest, with attacks led from the middle of the field by Calvagh Cullinane and Adam Whelan.
Eoin Fitzpatrick was first to break the deadlock with a fine finish to the bottom corner. Good defending by Mark Roberts and Darragh Keenan kept any Adamstown attacks at bay with Culainn McEvoy coming off the bench to extend the lead with his hard work paying off with a hat trick. Adam Mcdonald & Ronak John sealed the victory for the CBS by adding to the scoresheet. McDonald’s half volley from outside the box was the standout goal of the game for his teammates as you can see in the celebration video on our school Instagram page!
