The 2nd Year Hurlers have made it to the South Leinster Hurling Final.
They made it out of the group stages and defeated Ferrybank CC in the Semi-Final on a score line of 4:13 to 2:3.
The score line doesn’t fully reflect the intensity of the first half and much of the second half. It was touch and go for long periods until a flurry of goals in the final 15 minutes sealed the deal.
Goalscorers were Finn McLernon, Fionn Delaney and Adam Dowling (2).
These scores were built on strong defensive work from Andrew Delaney, David Tiwo and Luke Devaney, who repelled attack after attack.
A special mention also to Darragh O’Riordan and Ryan Fennell, who tracked back from the forward line to win turnovers on multiple occasions.
The lads now have a Final to look forward to. Well done to all involved.
