Today 3C had the opportunity to take a tour of Midlands Prison as part of the CSPE curriculum . Officer Dalton was excellent as he showed the lads how prisoners are booked in, what cells are like, and explained the daily schedule for inmates . They also got to visit different areas of the prison including the sports hall , the woodworking shop , and the visitors’ rooms.
Student volunteers took part in demonstrations showing what happens when trouble erupts and how prisoners are cuffed for transport . The lads asked brilliant questions and represented the school wonderfully .
