We are writing to let you know that the Citizens Information Board’s School Leavers guide is now available.
This guide is available in English and you can download a digital version from the Citizens Information Board website. An Irish language version will be available soon.
Hard copy versions of the guide will be posted to schools in the coming weeks along with promotional posters.
The School Leaver’s guide provides information for post-primary students about life after school and covers everything from going to college and getting financial support to starting a job and finding somewhere to live.
Following the completion of our short survey last year, we have rewritten and expanded the School Leavers guide. In future, we hope to issue the guide earlier in the school year to ensure schools can get the most out of it with final year students.

We will also send a survey to schools in autumn 2025 to get your detailed feedback and suggestions.
