Green Schools had their renewal visit to see if the school can be awarded it’s third flag for Water!
On Thursday, March 3rd, Ann-Marie Kelly, who is the Environment Awareness Officer for Laois County Council met with the team. She wanted to get feedback from the students as to what progress they have made in the last two years so that they could be awarded the flag. During this time, the team took the opportunity to discuss their Action Day which will be held on Friday, April 22nd. Following this, she was given a tour of the school by the team where she visited the compost bin, the green schools board and looked at the signs around the school with the school’s green code ‘Put a stop to every drop‘.
They have submitted their form to receive the school’s new flag and hope to hear after Easter if their application was successful.
