Congrats to all students who represented the school superbly last week in the Laois Schools Track & Field Championships. Medals were picked up in almost every event entered! Highlight of the championships goes to Daniel Downey who was weighed down by his
medal collection in the the 100m, 1100m, relay and high jump where he scooped up a new personal best of 1.67m! Honour Onyebechi will also be very pleased with his performance on the day finishing an impressive 2
nd in the Inter Boys HJ clearing 1.50m along with his 2
nd place in the relay also.

The boys were busy going through the rounds of heats and finals in the 100m sprints. ‍️ Well done to Uchenna Okoroji claiming Bronze behind Daniel, Nyasha Mahona and Christian Ubesie making the podium (2nd & 3rd) in the Inter boys.  Charles and Desmond fought to cross the line first in the Senior Boys with Desmond just coming out on top – both were crucial members who won the relay along with Nyasha and Aaron Foley!
We were also busy in the field events. Aaron Foley threw just under 10m to take the title in the Senior Boys and placing 2
nd in the Lomg Jump. David Wajrack threw an impressive 9.72m to pick up the silver medal along with bronze medal in the 1100m and also silver the long jump too!
