This morning we were delighted to receive the Leaving Certificate results for the Class of 2025! In spite of the much publicised ‘deflated grades’, the results were outstanding. Many of the lads returned to the school where iRadio, Portlaoise Credit Union, Michael Delaney’s crepe truck and lovely balmy weather created a very excited and happy gathering of both CBS and Scoil Chriost Ri students, along with many of their parents.
Across the board, the students were happy with their results. Two students achieved more than 600 points, one of them 625 points. Well deserved by both too. The hard work and commitment of this class saw over 20 percent achieve in the 500’s. The courses chosen on their CAO forms vary considerably, from engineering, sports science, teaching, software, sciences, medicine, finance, business, construction and more. Quite a number have already begun their apprenticeships, which is a positive step for our highly pressurised building industry.
The Class of 2025 were a lovely group of gentlemen and we wish them the good lives and opportunities which they have worked so hard for. Well done to their parents/guardians who supported them along the way and to their teachers who worked so hard to direct and encourage them.
