Hello from Portlaoise Library,
As part of the Parenting Support Programme, Portlaoise Library is delighted to host a series of free parenting talks this October and November. These events are open to all parents, caregivers, teachers, and anyone working with children and young people.
Portlaoise Library Events:
- Breastfeeding: Health & Supports (Wednesday, October 8th at 11:30am) – Practical tips and advice for expecting/new mums, covering benefits of breastfeeding, getting started, and overcoming challenges.
- Burnout (Thursday, October 9th at 6pm) – Recognising the signs and symptoms of burnout for you and your family, with tips to improve wellbeing.
- From Birth to Five (Monday, October 13th at 10am) – Supporting children aged 0–5: milestones, developmental delays, emotional regulation, secure attachment, and parenting strategies.
- Anxiety, Technology and Teenagers ( Wednesday, November 12th at 6pm) – Helping parents create happier homes, set healthy boundaries, and support children’s resilience in a digital world.
