Huge congratulations to Dan Downey, who once again has won both Leinster CE and just 10 days later was crowed All Ireland Schools Champion in the Combined Events.What is a very busy day, competing in long jump, shot putt, 60m hurdles, 200m and 800m. The person with the highest score based on performance in each event takes the glory. With only two events to go (200 & 800m), Dan was in 3rd place, with the top 4 within grasp of the gold. Dan put in a huge performance ️ to claim the gold in the final event! Cool and composed as always, Dan showed his class once again and will be representing Ireland in the International Combined Events.
