Swim Leinster is delighted to confirm that the Leinster Senior Schools Gala will take place on Sunday, February 8th, 2026.

The Regional and Irish Schools Meets purpose is to provide an inclusive schools event in which all capable swimmers attending a school— whether club-affiliated or not —can be given the opportunity to enter, compete, and represent their school.
The aim is to promote swimming within the wider community and to encourage young people into the sport at a competitive level. For this reason, the invitation to enter the competition is being issued to Schools as well as clubs.

We are mindful not to add any extra workload to schools staff, please refer to attached Meet information document regarding the entry process and guidance on who can submit entries on behalf of a school.

Schools are not being requested to “promote” the event, however if they are aware that swimmers have been or will be entered in the event to represent their school, we would respectfully request that they make other pupils aware also so no unintended exclusion occurs.

This competition is open to Swimmers who are aged 13yrs and 19yrs age on 31st August 2026*. (*swimmers aged 12yrs on 31st Aug 2026 are too young  to enter this event).
