The Board of Management at St. Mary’s CBS seeks a financial contribution from parents/guardians each year. This is because the funds made available from the Department of Education & Skills are not sufficient to meet the school’s financial needs. Voluntary schools like St. Mary’s are under funded by approximately 25% in comparison to ETB (VEC) schools. This contribution is collected as an Administration Fee each year. The Board appreciates the generous contributions parents/guardians make annually.
· The Administration Fee funds or partially funds the following school expenses: all extra-curricular activities (sports and educational trips), photocopying, the school
App, Tyro, buses, Microsoft Office 365 licenses for all students, postage, texting home when students are absent, and other reasons, lunchtime activities etc.
· A family with one student contributes €102.00, more than one student €133.00. One Administration Form is to be completed per student. Parents of 1st years and TY’s have already paid this and can ignore. All other years are asked to contribute if possible.
· Any contribution is greatly appreciated. All fees can be paid on the Shop tab of our Unique School App or through the Office which reopens next Monday.
***Please note that all students must pay for their 24-hour Personal Accident Insurance in order to take part in PE, extracurricular activities and school trips. This also covers him for any accident which takes place at home, and out of school hours. This is €10 per student and can be paid to the office at this time.
