Very well done to our 1st Year superstars, Paddy Lynch and Tom McDonald, who came 1st in the Student Enterprise National Final yesterday!
The boys won the Junior Category Overall Winner award as well as the Intellectual Property Award.
Their business, I-CAN, is a door-to-door can and bottle collection service. They collect cans and bottles from customers’ homes, return them to the DRS machines, give customers 75% of their deposit back, and keep 25% as their service fee.
Their goal is to make recycling easier, help the local community, and support a cleaner environment. Since starting I-CAN, they have completed over 100 collections and returned more than 20,000 bottles and cans.
