Many thanks to All-Ireland winning captain and All-Star Ronan Maher for taking the time to come in and meet up with our 2nd year hurlers ahead of their Leinster final next week .

Ronan gave great insights into what it’s like to compete at the highest level and spoke about many factors that can help any player improve and develop as a hurler .

He highlighted key areas such as constantly working on first touch, mastering the basics, as well as the importance of diet, sleep, carb loading, cultural attitude, and rehab work.

Above all else, resilience was the key takeaway for the lads – that never-give-up attitude when faced with challenges both on and off the pitch .

Ronan wishes the lads the very best in their final and believes they are well capable of bringing home silverware for Portlaoise CBS Hurling.
